: Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi convened a “Parents Meeting” on 31st October 2017 at 10.00 am.   Objective of this meeting was to set a : Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi celebrated “Engineer’s day” to mark Bharath Ratna sir M Visvesvaraya’s 157th birth anniversary under the a : Students of Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi celebrated a Teachers day under the aegis of department students’ association TESLA & The : Fresher’s welcome function “Navya 2017” ,and Inauguration of activities of  Student association “TESLA”  and “IE(I) Student Chapter” was organized on 29th August  2017 where faculty members and studen : A farewell to final year students of UG& PG and valedictory function of Activities 2016-17 of Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering was organized under the aegis of The Instit : Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi organized a cooking without fire for all the students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering’s un : Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi organized a Clay Modeling Competition for all the students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering : Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi organized a Group discussion on “Demonetization & surgical strikes” under the flagship of The Inst : As a tradition, the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi, this year also conducted its 4th successive Blood Donation Camp on the eve of Val : Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Jain College of Engineering Belagavi, organized Industrial tour on 25/10/2016 to the wind power generation plant. In association with The In

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi convened a “Parents Meeting” on 31st October 2017 at 10.00 am.

 

Objective of this meeting was to set a goal for the students and to communicate the students progress in the college and to solve any difficulties the student is facing.

 

Dr.G H Kulkarni HOD (EEE) welcomed parents for the event & addressing them he insisted that not only the faculty members are responsible for setting a goal for students, it is equal responsibility of parents also. He further added Quality education can be imparted when parents and teachers work together for the overall development of their ward”. Through the strong collaboration between faculty and parents, we can help our students to discover their strengths, interests and challenges, develop skills in their different fields, and let each achieve success in their own ways.

 

Prof. Basavaraj Madiggond, detailed on Mentorship Program in which he explained Objectives, Role of Mentor, Mentee and Parents. He said students are the pillars and parents and teachers are the facilitators in the teaching learning process and he gave tips on how they can guide their ward to take his/her career decision in consultation with their mentor.

 

The parents meeting would help teacher as well as parents to evolve solutions of common difficulties. Such meeting facilitates to develop inter personal relationships among parents and with teachers. The effective communication between parents and teachers would enhance the performances of students in all fields of curricular and extra- curricular activities.

 

There was open discussion of parents with faculty members, parents requested to call them on blood donation camp which our department conducts every year on 14th Feb and suggested to conduct Yoga classes for students so to increase concentration, then parents discussed their ward’s progress in detail with the respective ward’s class teacher. Around 70 parents were present on the occasion.

 

Parents appreciated department’s effort in conducting Parents Meet, which they felt was highly necessary to know the progress of their child.

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi celebrated “Engineer’s day” to mark Bharath Ratna sir M Visvesvaraya’s 157th birth anniversary under the aegis of department students’ association TESLA & The Institute of Engineers (India) on 15th September 2017.

HOD Dr. G H Kulkarni welcomed the gathering and he briefed achievements of sir M Visvesvaraya, shared information that this year 50th engineer’s day will be celebrated all over the country & the national council of the institute has selected the theme as “Role of engineers in developing India” to mark the occasion.

 

Prof. Sangeeta Chandaragi delivered a speech on Sir M Vishweshwaryya, and said “No one can shape the life of another, your success & happiness depends upon your own self”, so let us develop by inculcating the values of sir M Visvesvaraya as an engineer & as a honest human being to develop our country.

Fresher’s welcome function “Navya 2017” ,and Inauguration of activities of  Student association “TESLA”  and “IE(I) Student Chapter” was organized on 29th August  2017 where faculty members and students of third & final year under graduate and second year post graduate students welcomed students of second year to the department.

The welcome function is much awaited affair for seniors as well as juniors. The ceremony began with candle light welcome for juniors, where Chief guest, Principal, HOD and office bearers of IE(I)  & TESLA lightened the lamp, Principal stressed upon the importance of Electricity in day to day life and need of Electrical Engineers to overcome  power deficiency  issue in India. HOD Dr. G H Kulkarni welcomed the gathering and said Dream big, set a target, discover a goal to achieve that put hard work. With Chief guest Dr Rajlaxmi, leadership trainer & had given thousands of training sessions in India and abroad. Doctor by profession but dedicated her life to educate people about child abuse through NGO Shrusti. She started her talk with “NO TIME NO OPPORTUNITY”, “One never knows what will happen to tomorrow therefore, wise men should do tomorrow task today itself” and she explained on stress management, actually health effects emotions. whatever we see we perceive, respect your emotions, brain capacity is around 2.5 peta byte.creat a questions for yourself. And she said “Reason is the reason for Sadness”, key to success is interest and integrity leads to intelligence. Control emotions to control our health and be stress free.

          Prof Basavaraj V Madiggond gave road map of IE(I) and Prof Shidlingayya Chatradamath gave road map of Student association “TESLA”. The ceremony saw many dazzling performances by both seniors and juniors alike from energetic dance numbers, which made evening even more charming. Students performed on various songs where juniors suppressed their fear and  introduced themselves. They answered Judge’s questions: Pritam S Kamate & SameekshaPramod Naik  were selected as Mr. and Miss Fresher.

Students of Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi celebrated a Teachers day under the aegis of department students’ association TESLA & The Institute of Engineers (India) on 5th September 2017.

Mr. Raju Biradar student of 3rd sem was master of ceremony and the function started with the invocation song by the student of 3rd sem Miss Mayuri Varale and all teachers lightened the lamp and worshiped the great teacher of  all time Sarvapalle Radhakrishnan.

Dr.G H Kulkarni HOD (EEE) was the chief guest appreciated all students for celebrating teachers day and in his speech he congratulated the teachers for inspiring and nurturing the students to march in the right direction. He appreciated their constant endeavor in bringing EEE department to such a great height, he concluded his speech by giving importance of guru and narrated story of Krishna and his guru Sandipini.                            .

Prof. Basavaraj Madiggond expressed his gratitudes towards students for celebrating teachers day and recalled historical story of Mahabharath along with skills we need will & he said strong belief in oneself is very important to achieve goals.

Prof. Ashish Mishra shared his feelings with students regarding achievement of goals and realization of their responsibilities.

A farewell to final year students of UG& PG and valedictory function of Activities 2016-17 of Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering was organized under the aegis of The Institute of Engineers (India) Students’ Chapter (Electrical) & TESLA students’ Association on 25th May 2017.

Dr. K.G. Vishwanath, Principal & Director Presided over the function. He addressed the gathering and wished good luck to the final year students in their future. He motivated the students to take up higher education to improve their technical skills. This is the fourth out going Batch of UG and second outgoing batch of PG from Electrical & Electronics Engineering of JCE Belagavi.

Prof. Basavaraj V. Madiggond Head of Department Electrical and Electronics Engineering welcomed the gathering and said optimum nourishment which is required for students has been provided in our department and if over/under nourished, the students may lack firmness and capability to face the tough world.

 Prof. Vinod S. Patil, & Prof.Vireshkumar Mathad elaborated on the events held under the banner of The Institute of Engineers (India) Students’ Chapter (Electrical) & TESLA students’ Association during the academic year 2016-17.

 Prof. Ashish M.  hosted prize distribution ceremony of various events held during academic 2016-17.

 On this occasion department magazine Impetus 2017 volume 2, Issue 1 was released.

  Miss. Tanju Kambar Student Coordinator of   The Institute of Engineers (India) Students’ Chapter (Electrical) proposed the vote of thanks.
