Inauguration marks the beginning of new term. With new hopes & wishes, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi organized inauguration of department students’ Associations TESLA and IE (I), on 12th Aug 2016. Dr. Saraswati Kupwade, HOD Department of English, RPD College Belagavi, was the chief guest. Dr. K G Vishwanath, Principal & Director JCE Belagavi, presided over the function. A Three Days Workshop from 12th to 14th Aug 2016 on MATLAB & Simulink was also inaugurated.

 Chief Guest of the function, Dr. Saraswati Kupwade, inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp. Madam appreciated the efforts of the department in conducting such workshops, she told love what you’re doing and never give-up in our life even if u fail in it. Madam stressed upon keeping our self updated. She also highlighted the importance of being calm and relaxed. She added that everybody should practice yoga every day to have peace of mind.   

Dr. K G Vishwanath advised students to take maximum knowledge from the workshop, which can add a line to their skills. He also explained the importance of hard work, dedication and management of time, importance of these workshops in their projects as well as for placements.

 Prof. Basavaraj V. Madiggond, HOD Department of EEE welcomed all staff & students for the workshop. He suggested students to find out their area of interest and dedicatedly work upon it and excel in that area. Exploring different fields of interest is necessary but to excel one should know his area of expertise, Sir, highlighted.      

 Prof. Vinod S. Patil presented objectives of IE(I) and the bird’s eye view of the activities to be conducted under the banner of The Institute of Engineers (India) students’ Chapter (Electrical) for academic year 2016-17.

 Prof. Vireshkumar Mathad  presented the Road map for the activities to be conducted under the banner of TESLA, a students’ association for academic year 2016-17.

 Miss. Priyanka Pise.  introduced the chief guest and Mr. Sangamesh Hallimath proposed vote of thanks

 Dean Dr. G.H. Kulkarni, Heads of various departments and students were present at the occasion.

 Nearly 60+ students enrolled for the workshop. Prof. Basavaraj V Madiggond, Prof. Vinod S Patil, Prof. Ashish Mishra, Prof. Laxmi Brungi, Prof. Praveen Kurlupe and Prof. Naresh P are the resource persons.

 The workshop is aimed to bridge the gap between the industry & regular curriculum. Students will be given basic knowledge of MATLAB & Simulink accompanied by hands on experience on some of the real time systems.

Prof. R.G.Dharwadkar & Prof. Uday Chandra,directors  JCE  have wished the workshop all the successes.
