Cooking without flame

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi organized a cooking without fire for all the students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering’s under the aegis of department students’ association TESLA & The Institute of Engineers (India) on 25th April 2017.

Prof. Basavaraj V Madiggond HOD (EEE) motivated students to take the best advantage of the opportunity provided to showcase students’ talent. He told that heating food destroys its nutrients and natural enzymes, which is bad because enzymes boost digestion and fight chronic disease. In short: When you cook it, you kill it. He also told that cooked foods are usually harder to digest than raw foods, plus cooking nutrient-dense foods tends to destabilize some of their valuable enzymes and destroy certain antioxidants and vitamins. He thanked ever one who made this animosity a success.

Dean academics and administration Dr. G.H. Kulkarni articulated the benefits of eating sprouted grains, nuts and raw dairy products.

Prof. Laxmi B, Staff Coordinator of TESLA association and Prof. Sangeeta Chandaragi, coordinated the activity.

Prof. Vinod S. Patil staff coordinator of The Institute of Engineers (India) students’ Chapter (Electrical) welcomed all staff & students for the competition and told that raw foods helps alkalize the body, reduce acidity, and have less of a chance of fermenting in the gut that causing inflammation/autoimmune reactions.

Faculty members of E&E Department Prof. Shubha B. Baravani,  Prof. Praveen Kuralupe,  Prof. Ashish M, Prof.  Pasala Naresh, and Prof. Naresh P were present on the occasion.

Prof. Smita M. and Prof. Shidlingayya Chatradamath were the judge’s, students were screened based on creativity design, taste and presentation of the preparations marks obtained under different head led to the winners of the competition listed below.
