Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi organized a Clay Modeling Competition for all the students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering’s under the aegis of  department students’ association TESLA & The Institute of Engineers (India) on 24th April 2017.

Prof. Basavaraj V Madiggond HOD (EEE) motivated students to take the best advantage of the clay modeling activity. He told that clay is having therapeutic values, its helps to improve outstanding sensory development activity in hands and its play based learning. He also told that playing with clay involves both use of left and right brains, Left brain focuses on the discipline and perseverance required to achieve one’s objectives and Right brain creates, associates, stretching the imagination. It promotes a holistic left & right brain development He thanked ever one who made this animosity a success.

Prof. Laxmi B, Staff Coordinator of TESLA association and Prof. Praveen Kuralupe, coordinated the activity.

Dean academics and administration Dr. G.H. Kulkarni articulated the importance of art in student’s over all development, creative activity in college rewires the brain to think out-of-the-box function.

Prof. Vinod S. Patil staff coordinator of The Institute of Engineers (India) students’ Chapter (Electrical) welcomed all staff & students for the competition and told that clay is very versatile and there are many ways students can play & experiment with it. He also told students Clay gives them the opportunity to be creative and learn about texture, shape and form whilst having lots of fun. Sir, highlighted.

Faculty members of E&E Department Prof. Shubha B. Baravani, Prof.  Sangeeta Chandaragi, Prof. Ashish M, Prof.  Pasala Naresh, and Prof. Shidlingayya Chatradamath were present on the occasion.

Prof. Girish Uppin and Prof. Pavan Ughadi were the judge’s. Students were screened based on appearance,creativity, effectiveness of design and based on marks awarded under these different heads below list of students  secured highest score.
